DaVinci’s cautionary message regarding scams targeting SHIB investors was recently shared by Digarch, a member of the Shiba Inu community, on the platform X. Addressing the issue, the SHIB Discord admin confirmed that these fraudulent tokens cannot be banned due to the decentralized nature of ShibaSwap.
To combat these scams, Lucie, a prominent figure in the Shiba Inu team, has been urging the community to remain vigilant. She emphasized the importance of not sharing wallet keys, passwords, or any sensitive information. Lucie also warned against linking wallets to unverified websites, which scammers often exploit to steal funds.
The rise in scams has become a concerning trend, with scammers falsely claiming affiliation with Shiba Inu developers and the forthcoming layer-2 solution for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. They may also falsely announce the release of the TREAT token, which was promised but has yet to be launched.
The SHIB team stresses the need for individuals to voice their disapproval of these scammers and their unethical practices. As the Shiba Inu ecosystem continues to expand, it is expected that the frequency of scams will also increase. The official team strongly advises taking precautionary measures and conducting thorough evaluations before engaging in any transactions related to Shiba Inu. Scammers employ various tactics, including fake token sales, phishing links, and impersonation, to deceive SHIB holders.
