Repayment Announcement from Mt Gox Causes Bitcoin to Plummet to 60000 Range

Date:

After enduring a tumultuous past, Mt. Gox, the notorious Bitcoin exchange that fell victim to a massive hack in 2014 resulting in the loss of more than 850,000 BTC, is finally set to begin compensating its former users. The trustee overseeing the rehabilitation process has announced that reimbursements in both Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are scheduled to kick off in July 2024. This long-awaited development will offer a semblance of resolution to investors who have patiently awaited restitution for over ten years.
