QANplatform, a pioneering blockchain company, has recently launched the world’s first testnet that is both Ethereum-compatible and quantum-resistant. This groundbreaking development allows developers to code smart contracts using any programming language they prefer.
This achievement follows the successful implementation of QANplatform’s quantum-resistant technology by a member state of the European Union. The newly unveiled QAN TestNet represents a significant milestone in the advancement of the Web3 ecosystem, serving as a precursor to the QAN MainNet Beta. It builds upon the success of the QAN Private Blockchain (also known as QAN Enterprise Blockchain), which was introduced in September 2023. Notably, QAN TestNet is the first platform globally that combines three exceptional features: the ability to develop smart contracts in any programming language, interoperability with Ethereum’s EVM, and enhanced security that is impervious to quantum attacks.
The QAN Virtual Machine (QVM) is the technology behind this remarkable platform. It enables the creation of smart contracts in a wide range of Linux Kernel-compatible programming languages. By adopting this approach, QANplatform makes Web3 technology more accessible and attractive to a potential influx of over 28 million developers. This is a significant departure from traditional blockchain platforms that only support a limited number of programming languages. Furthermore, QAN’s no-code smart contract studio eliminates barriers for non-developers, empowering anyone to create interactive smart contracts within minutes.
To ensure the utmost security, QANplatform incorporates the CRYSTALS-Dilithium algorithm into QAN XLINK, adhering to the key recommendations of the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The QAN XLINK cross-signer safeguards the QANplatform and its users from the looming threat of quantum computing, guaranteeing transaction security in the post-quantum era while preserving compatibility with Ethereum EVM.
Johann Polecsak, Co-Founder and CTO of QANplatform, expressed his enthusiasm about this groundbreaking achievement.
