The collaborative partnership between The University of Buenos Aires’ Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Lab (UBA IALAB) and the Web3 data platform Archisinal has been formalized. This joint effort aims to launch a groundbreaking Polkadot-based project to modernize the UBA law facilities.
To integrate blockchain technology into the realms of design and urbanism, Archisinal is teaming up with UBA’s Web3, Blockchain & IA Lab. A competition will be held, inviting participation from students, architects, and members of the academic community interested in contributing to the transformation of the faculty’s Hearing Room into a smart classroom.
Archisinal will oversee the competition and leverage the blockchain framework of Polkadot through its platform. The competition will be funded collectively through blockchain technology, and Archisinal will supervise the project’s execution.
This initiative will serve as a pilot project for Archisinal, showcasing the practical application of its MVP in a collaborative academic setting. It will serve as a shining example of how blockchain technology can be utilized in the education sector, fostering volunteerism in Buenos Aires and supporting the maintenance and enhancement of public facilities.
The University of Buenos Aires has initiated research into the potential benefits of applied blockchain technology through its Web3, Blockchain & AI Lab. Building upon the foundations of the Polkadot ecosystem, Archisinal will enhance this exploration and discover novel applications of blockchain technology within UBA.
The partnership established between Archisinal and UBA will serve as a driving force for numerous upcoming university initiatives. Archisinal, which recently earned a scholarship from the Decentralized Futures program of the Web3 Foundation, has already clinched victory in three hackathons by 2024.
By collaborating with Archisinal, UBA IALAB will support academic research and nurture future industry leaders while demonstrating a real-world application of blockchain technology. This collaboration aims to cultivate a technologically advanced and innovative environment at one of Argentina’s premier educational institutions, offering added value to law students and the wider academic community.
