Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission Gary Gensler hints at possible setbacks for Spot Ether ETFs

Date:

Gensler’s assertions about a potential delay in the approval of a spot Ether ETF by the SEC have been contradicted by recent developments. The process of making shares available on exchanges has already been initiated, marking a significant step forward. Following the groundbreaking approval of multiple spot Bitcoin ETF applications by the SEC just five months ago, the 19b-4 approvals for Ether have swiftly followed suit. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas anticipates that spot Ether ETFs will debut on July 4th, prior to any official statements from the SEC chair.
