TON Foundation Declares $600K Airdrop for Traders and Holders of NFTs

Date:

On April 23 at 8:00 AM CEST, a snapshot was taken of the 105,600 TON airdrop, which is specifically for active traders on the NFT markets of Getgems, xRare, and Ton NFT Diamonds.

The TON Foundation recently made an announcement regarding an airdrop valued at $600K for active NFT traders and holders. The foundation communicated this news on X, revealing that 105,600 TON tokens were being airdropped to active traders on the NFT markets of Getgems, xRare, and Ton NFT Diamonds.

It is important to note that the snapshot for the 105,600 TON airdrop was taken on April 23 at 8:00 AM CEST, as stated in the statement provided by the crypto firm on X. The airdrop was available to active traders on the mentioned NFT platforms from April 11 (2 PM CEST) to April 23 (8 AM CEST).

However, it should be highlighted that the airdrop did not include support for Sybil wallet addresses, non-wallet addresses, or owners of NFT collections. Nevertheless, the event was open to all NFT collections on the aforementioned markets.

Interestingly, the TON Foundation decided against implementing a point system that would have allowed users to earn airdrop rewards based on various on-chain criteria. Instead, users would receive 1 point if they transferred between 2 and 4 NFT collections. The number of points earned would increase proportionally to the number of collections traded, establishing a direct link between points accumulated and incentives.

Points were also awarded based on other metrics, such as the total number of NFT transactions and the amount of NFT trading conducted by each user. Participants in the airdrop had the opportunity to redeem their points for TON tokens, the native cryptocurrency of the Ton blockchain, as a form of incentive.
