Logan Paul Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Coffeezilla Alleging False Claims Regarding CryptoZoo

Date:

In a San Antonio, Texas District Court, Logan Paul has filed a lawsuit against Coffeezilla, a popular YouTuber also known as Stephen Findeisen, for defamation. The lawsuit pertains to three videos that Coffeezilla posted on YouTube in late 2022, which targeted Paul’s CryptoZoo non-fungible token (NFT) project.

Paul alleges that Coffeezilla falsely and maliciously accused him of running a fraudulent blockchain project called CryptoZoo. The lawsuit was filed in a San Antonio, Texas District Court.

Coffeezilla began uploading videos on YouTube in late 2022, focusing on CryptoZoo. In these videos, he labeled it as “Logan Paul’s biggest scam” and accused Paul of stealing from his supporters by holding onto their NFT funds without completing the project.

Paul claims that Coffeezilla deliberately omitted crucial details in his videos, which would have demonstrated his commitment to the success of CryptoZoo. Paul argues that he was deceived by several advisors who were supposed to be trustworthy but turned out to be scam artists. He specifically points fingers at Eduardo “Eddie” Ibanez, whom he calls a “charlatan” for lying about his credentials, and Jake Greenbaum, an advisor more interested in personal gain than contributing to a credible initiative.

Despite considering legal action against Findeisen, Paul decided to focus on rectifying the situation with CryptoZoo instead. He implemented a recovery plan worth $1.5 million, spending $1 million to repurchase the NFTs from January to March, even though the project failed to materialize and generated no profit.

Paul is seeking damages exceeding $75,000, along with interest, legal expenses, and any other appropriate remedies as determined by the court.

In other news, there is speculation about whether Bitcoin bulls will gain momentum as the market recovers.
